“ POLITICAL DODGERY.”
To the Editor. i Sm, —I notice a paragraph in the Exprex* on Monday, in which its friend Mr. Dodson makes another “explanation, and states that he did not refuse to take a ticket.toi the Grovetown pigeon match dinner. It is also said that Mr. Houldswortli sold him a ticket on the ground. This may bo so, as I do not know what Mr. Houldswortli may hare done, though I thank him for exerting himself in my behalf, but I have to state that Mr. Dodson did refuse to take a ticket from me, although I had just paid him over a considerable sum of money. ’When I asked him to take a ticket (this was on the Monday previous) he said he would not as “ it would he too much ot a one-sided political affair.” He also inquired wiiat uas the matter between me and Mr. Henderson, saying “ \Ye are going to start a good man again, why won’t you support him ?” I told him I could not turn my coat, and ns I had always voted for Mr. Seymour, and his conduct had been satisfactory to me, I should Tote for him again. I would in conclusion wish to state that this letter was not written by either “T hos. Dickens” or “J. Withey,’ but by AY. Roiunsox.
