To the Editor. Sir, —A number of my friends bare expressed their surprise at my taking part in assisting to get up the AVairau Sports to he
old in November nc;:t which ?n their opinion will ebash with the annual 1* riendly Societies Fete. Will you kindly allow me to state that I did not attend the meeting, nor so far as 1 know, did any of my friends; and I can only account for tile minor through the misguided idea of some person at the meeting who without my knowledge or consent nominated me as a candidate for the Committee.—l am kc., John’ T.
