The prizes ollered by the Association, will, with one or two exceptions be the same amounts as last year. 'Flic Secretary reported that the following special prizes had been offered : Messrs James Robinson (Spring Creek), and J. Rariy L2 2s, for Ist prize in a high jump for horses. Mr E. Kaul L2 2s, for best-matched team of 2 horses in shaft and two leaders. .Mr C. Storey LI Is, for best draught mare. Mr C. Gomez LI Is, for best foal by Sir ('olin. Mr Bickering LI Is, for best 2-tootlied provincial-bred merino ram, and LI Is, for best 2-tootlied provincial-bred merino ewe. Jlr.l. Watson, (Dumgree), LI Is, for five finest woollcd merino ewe lambs, and LI Is] for live finest woolled merino ewes. Mr J. Ward'Ll Is, for best short-horned bull, and LI Is, for best short-horned cow. Mr C. Coulter LI Is, for best dairy cow in milk. Mr T. Harding LI Is, for best shorthorned bull over 1 and under 2 years of age. Mr J. Mnirhead IDs, for best coop of geese —two geese and a gander. Mr W. Evans LI Is, for best sack of malting barley ; color to be the chief consideration. Mr W. The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company lias also presented a similar cup to that of last year to he awarded to the exhibitor of merino sheep, who scores the greatest number of points, based upon the following scale: - Ist prizes to count five points : '2nd prizes two points.
