NEW ZEAL AN D RIFLE ASSOCIATION PARTICULARS OF MESSTNO, 1881. fJpilE Meeting will commence on Monday, L 28th February, at Briglitwater, and will probably last 8 or 10 days. 2. The exact numbers who will be present eannotnow be given, but as a guide, there wore (in round numbers) 200 on the ground last year. 0. The earliest possible information will be given to the successful tenderer as to the number who will attend. •!. Tenderers are requested to send in their tenders for three classes, viz, (a) Staff and Officers, (b) Members, and (e) Workmen and Markers, and tenders must state the rate per diem for each class. .*>. The caterer will be required to provide three (0) meals a day at such hours as may be fixed from day to day by the Officer in Command, and hot coffee and biscuit at 0 a.m. daily. 0. A bill of fare fur each meal must accompany each tender, and the successful tenderer will bo required to exhibit a copy of the same in each mess room. 7. The Association provides a but for the Stall' and Officers’ mess ; but the caterer must provide the necessary accommodation for the other messes, to include tables and tables and seats. S. The caterer must provide proper cookhouse and appliances for cooking, together with all cutlery, glass, dolf, linen, ifcc. for each mess. !). The caterer must provide a sufficient

number of waiters, cooks, &c. for the ellieicnt fulfilment of hi.s agreement. I 10. The caterer will have sole right of ■ selling liquors, ike., on the ground, hut the ! canteen will be subject to the control of the | Officer in Command who will have the | power, in the event of disturbance. &e., to | order it to be closed. The Association will in no way be | responsible for loss or damage that may ! arise before, during, or after the meeting, ! neither will it undertake (or be responsible ; for) any debts, or the collection of any monies in connection with the messing. 1-. Tenders must state the amount that will be given for these privileges, and on a tender being accepted the amount must bo forthwith forwarded to the Secretary. id.
