At a meeting of the Industrial Association yesterday, an excellent sample of starch’ made from wheat was exhibited by a local firm, who assert they can compete in price with the imported article. Mrs Wymond and Alphonso Wymoiid, wile and nephew of T. S. Wymond, bankrupt draper, Nelson, have been arrested in Lyttelton, having in their possession M2 eases goods removed from Nelson per Hawea. The prisoners are remanded to Nelson, to appear on the 29th instant. The goods are in the possession of the police.
