CORRESPONDENCE.
MAXWELL HOAD AND HALIFAX ST. To 'mi-: Editor. Sir, —I understand that the Rivers Board intend withdrawing from the position of raising the Maxwell Road, and now want to raise Mali fax-street as part of the scheme ; no doubt trusting to cireumstanesand another election to carry out the whole iniquitous project. Thanks to Mr Robinson, the scheme of Messrs Redwood, Sinclair, and Davies to save their acres and quarter-acres has been nipped in the bud, and the Borough is not going to be swamped out with their own money, although Mr .Redwood is Chairman of the Board of Litigants. Why not turn the Taylor down its natural course—the South side of the country ? This would protect the town and the most valuable land in its vicinity.—l am, &c., BUHfiESS.
