REGULATIONS. The Marlborough Jockey Club rules will be strictly adhered to. Nominations to be made to the Secretary in writing by S p.m. on the 4th December. Weights and handicaps to be declared on the lltli December. Acceptances and general entries close at 8 p.m. on the 1 Sth December. Anyone going off the mark before the pistol is tired, to be put back one yard for each attempt. No prize given unless two competitors start. No second unless three start. Starters in Hurdles, Wairau Plate, Flyings Stakes, Sporting Handicap, or anyone erecting a booth on the course to pay a (nullification fee of L'l.
