Mkt/hournk, Sept, 25. The race meeting in honor of Sir Hercules Robinson was held"to-day. There was good racing. The Marquis .if Xormanby and Sir Hercules Robinson ere present. There was a moderate atte lance of the public. The weather was showry during the day. The Robinson Stakes—Lord Harry 1, Camballo 2, Prattle 3. This was fine race, won by a neck. Sixteen horses started. Time 2m. 50Js. Mata was scratched.
Farewell Handiaap—Camballo' 1, Lord Harry 2, Crcinorne 3. Won easily by several lengths. Twentytwo started. Time lm. 20s.
Oamaru, Sept. 2G. For the YVaitaki AVa.it.aUi Jockey Club races, the following nominations have been received. The races take place at Huntroon, October 14 and 15:— Waitaki County Plate—Unknown, Maid of Waitaki, Little John, Honest Jack, Blue Peter, Magician, Ned Kelly, and Shillelagh. Waitaki Cup—Lara, Randwick, Clarence Unknown, Adamant, York, Torn, and Emerald. Trotting Race— Bella, Nellie, Charlie and Darkie. . Novel Race—Adalgisa, May Morn, Magician and Ned Kelly. Hurdle Race—Milo, Clarence, Rohm Hood, Little John, Honest Jack, Adalgisa, and Shillelagh. Waitaki Jockey Club Handicap—Lara, Randwick, Pilot Fish, Clarence, Unknown, Blue Peter, Adamant, York, Tera, Maid of Waitaki, Magician, and Emerald.
