License Ft'!'. 1. It is ordered, by virtue of the i authority in ns vested by “The; Slaughterhouses Act, IX77,’' that, form and after the approval hereof by J the (lovernor, the license fee payable by persons licensed to slaughter great or small cattle shall be ten shillings j per annum, or fractional part of a year, payable in advance. After the date of approval of this by-law by the Governor, no license shall be granted for any slaughterhouse situated within three chains of any main or district road used as a public road. Every slaugliterliou.se shall be | kept clean to the satisfaction of the Inspector, who may at all times give : such directions concerning the cleans- , ing thereof as to him may seem need- ; fill. Any persons licensed under the ' provisions of the said Act who shall not, without unnecessary delay, obey the directions of the Inspector shall be deemed to have committed a breach of the provisions of tin’s by-law. Cattle Fed au</ Watered. 7. Every slaughterhouse shall, at all times, be provided with a suilicient supply of fresh water, and all cattle confined on the premises of any slaughterhouse, or in any yard or enclosure connected therewith, shall lie properly fed and watered at least once j in every twenty-four hours. Filth Feniored. X. The filth shall be,removed from ; every slaughterhouse or yard connect- j ed therewith at least once in (‘very I twentp-four hours. Inspector to Visit s/am/hterhoases. 9. The Inspectors, shall visit all ' slaughterhouses in their districts at least once every three months, where practicable, and not later than- the j first week in December in each year j they shall furnish a report in writing 1 to the Resident Magistrate having | jurisdiction in their district, stating ! generally the condition in which the slaughterhouses in their district have j been kept during the past year. The fees payable to Inspectors | from all persons holding licenses un- | der the said Act, or any Act amend- t ing the same, shall be as follows : j For every head of small cattle killed j for sale, the sum of one farthing ; and ; for every head of great cattle killed for sal, the sum of one penny.
