[REUTER’S TELEGRAMS.] LONDON. July 13. The cricket match, Australians v. Leicestershire, was continued to-day. The Home team were all out for 95 runs in their first innings, being 74 runs . behind their opponents. The Australians then went in for their second innings, and when the stumps were drawn for the day had lost no wickets for 66 runs. Consols, 98§. • New Zeal and securites unchanged. The markets for South Australian and New Zealand breadstuff's and Australian tallow are unchanged. The accounts of the hop crop are * less favorable. The crops have been partially damaged by excessive rains. The Gazette to-day contains the official annoucement of conferring of the honor of knighthood on Mr O’Rorke, the Speaker of the House of Representatives of New Zealand. July 14. The Queen has congratulated the English volunteers on the 21 years of their existence.

CONSTANTINOPLE. July 14. Fighting has commenced between the Albanians and Montenegrins. The Porte continues to take steps to offer an armed resistance to any attempts that may be made to enforce the decisions of the Berlin conference, and for that purpose Turkish troops are being massed at Adrianople, Salomon, Volo, Prevessa and Thessaly. A meeting which was called last night by circular, and largely and influentially attended, to consider what steps should be taken with regard to the petition for removal of the Resident Magistrate now before the House, resolutions were carried unanimously, expressing the highest confidence in the Magistrate, and calling a public meeting to be held to-morrow, to give the adult male population an opportunity to express their confidence in him. - KUMARA. Thursday. The body of John Phelan was recovered shortly before 5 o’clock this morning, and buried with two others, Dennis, his brother and Phillip Cummins. The funeral was attended by nearly 1000 persons, and all the places of business in the town were closed ; very few claims on the goldfield being worked during the day. INVERCARGILL. July 14. The investigation into the charge of manslaughter against Dr Moffatt, of Winton, was resumed at the Police Court to-day, and resulted in the accused being commited for trial at the next sittings of the Supreme Court. Rail was allowed accused, himself in £2OO and two sureties of £2OO each. TIMARU. July 14. Roth the men concerned in the late sticking up case at Waihoa, were brought before the R.M. at Waimate, and remanded. There names are Eugenie Ford and W. Polhot.
