THE NELSON PERJURY CASE.

[From Our Own Correspondent.] Thomas v. Adams Nelson, This Day. In the matter of Thomas v, Adams for perjury, an hour and a half was spent in obtaining a jury. All the panel summoned was exhausted but nine; then, after a long argument, as to the course to be pursued, it was decided to exclude those challenged by defendant, and take the first twelve drawn from the ballot box, the result being that six were called of those challenged by the prosecution. Mr Barnicoat is foreman, Fell and Bunny appear for the prosecution, and Conolly for defendant. The case will last two diiys. So far the evidence is the same as in the Magistrate’s Court. The Court adjourned at noon.
