Cheese.—Whole Cheese of any size not less than 14 lb. in the aggregate. Wine, Beer, and Spirits.—ln bottle— max., 2 gallon. Beer, in wood — max., 56 gallons. As the bulk beer is placed in cellars not accessible to the general public, each Exhibit of this kind should be acoompanied by an ornamental (empty) cask bearing the name, &c., of Exhibitor, for the purpose of effective display. Exhibits of bottled wine and spirits may also be iccomponied by apparent facsimiles for the same purpose. Tobacco Leaf and Cigars. — Max., 10 lb. ; min., leaf 5 lb., cigars 1 11). Mineral Waters. —1 doz. in Bottles. Mineral and Ores. Massive specimens, partly polished if required to show structure. Works of Art.—Only those illustrative of New Zealand scenery and natural history ; photographs, plans, maps, Ac. All Exhibits in this class to be framed. 12. The Commissioners will use every endeavour to provide against tlio loss or damage of the collections, which will be duly insured, but they will not hold themseles or the Government responsible for any damage or loss. 13. Any Exhibits not absolutely given to or bought by tiro Commissioners (unless the owners expressly desire that they he duly disposed of at Melbourne) will be returned to the Local Committees at the expense of the Commissions.
14. All Exhibits, the cost of -which has been defrayed by tlic Commissioners, will be considered to be their property, and will be exhibited in their name, but the name of the producer may be mentioned in the Catalogue at the discretion of the Commissioners. 15. Local Committees will, at their discretion, accept articles for exhibition, subject to final revision by the Commissioners, as space for exhibition is limited. 16. Local Committees are recommended to appoint Sub-Committees to assist them in seeing that none but first-rate specimens of raw products are forwarded. 17. The Commissioners reserve the right to alter, amend, explain, or add to these Regulations. 182 The Animals Products Committee have prepared special forms of entry for wool exhibits, copies of which will be distributed throughout the Australasian colonies. The wool show will open early in December.
