AWATERE ROAD BOARD.

Tiie Board met on Wednesday last. Present—Messrs Hodson (in the chair), Barclay and Green. The mini tes of the previous meeting were read and confirmed. The following resolutions were passed : “ That Mrs Mowatt be informed that the Board is not prepared to convey to her the road referred to in her letter of April 15th.” “That the Inspector he requested.to bring up an estimate at tho next meeting of the cost of making a dray road aud culverts at One Tree Hill.” “ That the Inspector bring up n n estimate at next meeting of the cost of bridge over the Camp Creek on the South side of Sullivan’s cutting on the Taylor Pass road.” A rate of one shilling in the £ was struck for the current year and the rate hook was signed by the members present, as was also the balance sheet. The Secretary reported that there was a balance at the Bank to the credit of the Board of £1314 18s 9d. The following accounts were passed for payment : —II. O’Leary L 4 Gs Gd, Fell Bros, and Co., L2O, E. Maddock L 59 13s 4<l, Ditto LB4 16s Bd, J. O’Brien L2l, E. Bythcll LI 10s. J. Wood L3O, G. Richardson LlO 10s, T. O’Sullivau LG 10s Id. The Board then adjourned.
