LITTLE’S SHEEP DIPPING FLUID.

To the Editor. [The following letterffrom Mr P. R Mcßae, has been handed to us by Messrs Fell Bros, and Co, and as coming from so good an authority, and containing useful information will no doubt be read with interest:—] “Blairich, 23rd April. ’SO. “Messrs Fell Bros, and Co., Blenheim. “ Dear Sirs,—As Agents for Little’s Dipping Fluid, T have no doubt but you wish for the opinions of those who have given it a fair trial.

“On 14th February last I dipped 500 sheep, that showed slight signs of scab, and

I dipped them again on the 25th, although I think they were cured by the first dip ; these sheep are perfectly clean. “I had a second lot of 50 sheep, which were in the very worst stage of scab ; these were hand dressed and dipped on 25th February, and dipped again on the oth March, this time they were kept in the tank five minutes—-a much longer time than sheep dipped in a hot dip could he kept in. I have since kept them in paddocks, and on 1 , tlq cf April they were examined by Mr Sutton, Sheep Inspector, and myself, and we were both satisfied that they were perfectly free from scab. There is another grand thing in this dip—it does not stop the growth of wool, and it leaves it in a nice soft state. I shield say it rather adds to the weight of the wool than otherwise. I am of opinion that the preparation is quite up to what it has been represented to lie, and I like it bet ter than any other dip I have used, as it does not injure the wool, and is a certain cure wherever the cold water can penetrate. In hard scab cold water will not penetrate the same as warm, and for that.reason very badly scabbed sheep should he hand dressed.—l am, etc., “ P. R. Mcßae.
