UPPER WAIRAU GOLDFIELD.
To the Editor. Sir, The report of the Correspondent of theVnuES, of March 9th, is calculated to mislead tha public. We beg to say that the statement is untrue of his getting a fair prospect from our claim. He certainly did wash out a dish of stuff but did not even get the color, much less a “good prospect.” We think it would be better for all who think of coming up here, to wait until the Warden lias sent in his report.—We are, etc., Samuel Ballard, John Newth, Fredk. Burgess. Upper Wairau, 14th March, ISSO.
