Wool.—The sales opened with spirit on the 17tii, at an average a ivanoe of Id to I Ll on last sale prices. Up to date 1011,OOP bales have irrivvG, and 22,000 have beer, sent to the manufacturing districts direct. The opening catalogue contains 7,000 bales. Competition by both Home and foreign buyers is active. Since tiio close of the last sales superior greasy lias advanced id to lid ;combing, washed, advanced'2d; scoured, advanced 2d; do thing, washed, advanced id; cross-bred combing, washed, advanced 2d- The lamb market is unchanged. Leather—Basils market is easier. CnnrsTCiiußCii —Wheat for early shipment and delivery is now coming forward. All the bulk of the yield, it is thought, will fully sustain the excellent reputation our wheat won for itself in the London market last year. Quantities have passed through hands at rates which are equal to last week’s quotations of 3s lOd to 3s 10id for parcels for early delivery. Oats —The condition of the market is without change, and buyers are only disposed to take up large parcels on their owns terms : quotations Is -Id to Is 5d for feed, and Is lid for milling. Barley—prices remain about 3s 3d to 3s Gd, while grain of undeniable quality coi inlands 3s 7d to 3s Sd. Crass seed show, no change. Produce —Butter and dices?, r.o alteration ; hams and bacon not readily obtainable.
