For horses that have won in the previous races ; other horses that have contested allowed to start by paying an entrance fee of £2. Distance, l| miles. REGULATIONS. All horses for the Hurdle Races to be at the post by 12 noon on each day. General Entries on Saturday, February 9th, 1880. All entrances and acceptances must be in sealed covers, addressed to the Secretary at Masonic Hotel, Blenheim, and contain entrance money, description and age of horse, and colors to be worn by the jockey. No entrance will be received later than 8 o’clock p.m., unless sent by Telegraph, and must then bear the office date prior to that time. The rules of the Marlborough Racing Club will be strictly adhered to, mares only allowed 31bs. The second horse to save his stake in all races. All disputes, claims, and objections arising out of the races shall be decided by ths Stewards, or whoever they may appoint. Their decision upon all points connected with the carrying out of the programme shall be final. All persons intending to withdraw horses are requested to give notice to that effect to the Secretary at least 15 minutes before the time of starting. Any jockey riding except in the colors entered will be fined £2. No person to enter a horse or erect a booth on the Course unless a subscriber of £2 to the Race Fund.
