Business Notices. THE PEOPLE’S GROCERY & PROVISION MART. E. PURSER, BLENHEIM. iEGS to inform the Public that he has now OPENED HIS NEW PREMISES in the above line. In taking this step, E. P. feels that he has some advantages to offer the public, viz. : 20 years English experience ; that he is a Cash Buyer and consequently a Cash Seller. The advantages of this system is patent to all, and, as I am satisfied with the smallest legitimate profit, the consumer will find a great advantage in supporting a liberal system of business —in fact, my customers will lind it next of kin to co-operation. Bear in mind that a “ Shilling saved is a Shilling earned.” The following are the feio items that I consider requires positive reform in New Zealand: — TTTT TTTT T T T TT T TT'T TTT TT T T T TTTT T T Instead of the insipid plain Congou, generally vended at the stereotyped 3s whether good, bad, or indifferent, I shall supply my invigorating LONDON BLEND, comprising a mixture of the finest Teas imported at 2s 9d. I have been at considerable trouble to obtain those kinds necessary to produce exquisite flavor, combined with great strength, and such as will come out in the second or even the third water as good as the first.
My No. 2. CONGOU at 2s 6d, Contains all the good points looked for by the most fastidious. My No. 3. PLAIN CONGOU at 2s, Is a marvel of cheapness. COFFEE, As in France, roasted on the premises, and ground as required instead of that mysterious concoction from distant parts. BUTTER, BACON & CHEESE Are also much neglected in New Zealand, inasmuch as they are all sold at a standard price, irrespective of quality, instead of prices according to their merits. Respecting my DRAPERY, CLOTHING & BOOT DEPARTMENT, So in proportion as my trade extends will be the concessions I can fairly make to the public. I am happy to say that from the liberal support accorded me, I am able to make a FURTHER REDUCTION ON MY PREVIOUS LOW PRICES. It only requires a visit to my stores to be surprised at the low price goods can now be obtained in Blenheim. Respectfully soliciting your patronage. I am, Your obedient servant, E. PURSER. JOHN SMITH, (Late of the Blenheim Foundry, Wynen Street), TINSMITH, PLUMBER, BELL-HANGER, &c., HAS re-commenced business in his new premises, MARKET STREET NORTH, where every article in the Trade can be obtained of the best quality and make, and at reasonable rates.
