BOWLING. Good progress was made over the week-end with the club competitions and both pairs and singles are now well advanced. The following are the championship singles results to date: —Flett beat Yardley, 17—-16; Flett beat Oates, 23—22; Coote beat Hitchcock, 29—18; G. Hawes beat Clcland, 21—12; Shanks beat Morton, 20—14; Shanks heat Oates, 1J lb; Hitchcock beat G. Hawes, 17 IC. The additional results in the pairs competition are:—Morton and Gale lost to Watkins and Crabb, 23 2o (draw on 21st head); Goodall and Shanks beat White and Coote, 22 IC, G. Hawes and Bolt beat Mclntyre and Potter 19 —14; Clcland and Yardley boat Morton and Gale, 22—14; Hitchcock and Stewart beat Cleland and Yardley, 28—1 C. „ , Cock o’ th’ Walk.— Yardley defended successfully against Oates, 17—15.
