J. CLEARING SALE. attendance at Ml- J. ' Clulow's'clearing sale. Tauhei, on Wednesday, when the Farmers Auctioneering Company offered a varied selection of live and dead stock. The fat cattle and sheep were in prime condition, but the prices for cattle foil £2 or £3 a head below tlio vendor’s expectations. A number of magnificent farm horses sold well. Exceptionally good prices were received for sundries. Prime fat steers . Bat .£lB I<s 6d, 18 at £lB 12s 6d, one at £lB Os; others £ls 10s to £IG Pis; Jersey-cross steers £l2 2s Gd, house cow £ll 10s, empty cows £lO 10s. 2-year-old steers £8 f»s to £9 10s, 18 month steers £(! 10s, 18 month heifers £6 7s Gd, bulls (2) ill los and £7 «15s # Five fat sheep £1 12s; draught \ males, £SO, £43 , £43; draught gelding t 1 till bought by Messrs Lawson and Bowater, Walton; draught gelding £3B 10s, bought byMrJ. A. Sanders; hack £ls to Messrs Williams and Williams.. A Cooper 2 li p shearing plant sold for £Bl ; a waggon for £47, nine sacks of chaff for * £2 15s, a bag of cocksfoot £3.
