ON THE SCREEN.
"The Answer." A soap-box orator stood on a New York street corner and harangued a crowd. A ragged little lad stood beside him and listened intently to his wild outbursts. The two were father and son. The father died and bequeathed to his son, John Warfield, one legacy —a bitter hate of the wealthy. The boy grew up and attracted disciples to the doctrines of his father. One of these disciples was a girl, Goldie Shaphard, a telephone operator. Then came an inheritance to the young Socialist soap-box orator. He married Goldie and all her professions of love for the poor and oppressed vanished into thin air under the influence of a life of luxury and ease. Vengeance reached out for her life, and a sweet and noble girl, Lillian Lorraine, daughter of wealthy parents, yielded her heart to Warfield, the idealist. This story, with a Gaumont graphic and the ninth instalment of the serial "The House of Hate," will be screened at Matamata on Saturday. ________
