RED CROSS LEAGUE.
Matamata Meeting, A_meeting of the members of tbtWocve league was held in the Town hall Matamata recently when the following ladies were present: Mesdames MooreJonflkOn the chair) Fagan, Simpson. Mateer, Sutherland, Mogford, J. F: Vosper, C. D. Rollett, Bosson, W- S- Wilson, Cranswick, Gould, Bell and Miss Sargeant. Before proceeding with the business a motion of sympathy with Mrs Kelso and family in their late sad bereavement was passed, the ladies standing. After some discussion it was decided to re name tho leagre "The La/ies War Memorial League Committee " and the following officers were appointed : President, Mrs Moore-Jones; secretary and treasurer, Mrs G. G« Bell; committee, all the ladies present, with the addition of Mesdames Kusab.s and Darby and Miss Robinson, with power to add to their number. It was resolved to allow the moneys in the bank to the credit of the Red Cross League to remain for a further three months and a fresh account will be opened in the name of the new league. The meeting closed with a hearty vote of thanks to Miss Sargeant, the retiring secretary, for her untiring services during the past I\i years and a vote of thanks to the chair.
