OBITUARY.

Mr John Arnold. On Friday morning, July 11th a very old and rospoctod resident of Cambridge, passod away in tho person of Mr John Arnold, farmer, Hamilton road. Tho cause of death was heart failure. Tho lato Mr Arnold saw considerable service in the Maori war, and was one of Von Tompsky's rangers. Ho took part in several campaigns. Mr Arnold has resided in tho Cambridge District over 55 years. He leaves a widow and two daughters to mourn their loss, Mr C. W. Arnold, Turanga-a-moana being tho oldest son. Tho late gentleman will bo very much missed being widely known fov his kindness of heart and his readiness to assist in any deserving cause. Mr Arnold was in his 86th year.
