On Saturday Matamata defeated Okauia by 8 points to 3. Matamata's scores wore 2 tries, one converted, whilst Okauia kicked a penalty goal. For Matamata F. Connell and Waite in the backs and Connell and Sheehan in the forwards were most prominent whilst Bindle (3), Sutherland and Marsh were most prominent for Okauia.
