MORItINSVILLE. Thera was a large yarding of all classes of cattle at the' Farmers’ Auctioneering Company's sale on Friday. Prices showed a slight decline consequent, no doubt, on the inclement weather and unsatisfactory train arrangements. Fine quality beef was varded and fat steers realised from £lB 'to £l9 10s, extra lino fat cows £l7 9s (three were sold ut this prico on account of Mr W. J. Corrigan) lightor cows £9 to £ll 10s, steers 2.) years to 8 years old, £8 5s to £lO 7s Od, inferior sorts £7 5s to £7 10s, 18 months to 2yr old £5 10b to £7 10s, store cows fresh £7 5s to £8 ss. others £5 5s to £6, hoifers 18 months to 2yr old empty £4 15b to £5 ss, good steer calves £2 10s to £8 128, hoifor calves £2 15s to £3 17s 6d, pooror sorts, mixed, £1 to £1 15s. Tire demand for dairy cows was firm, and prices remained high. Good forward dairy cows sold at from £l6 10s to £2l. A Grade Jersey heifer in calf was sold on bohalf of Mr C. Cameron to Mr Were, of Motuumoho at £2l, while a Holstein heifer sold at £l7. Dairy cows, more backward, £ll 5s to £ls, heifers, good £l3 to £l7 13s, othors £lO 10b to £l2. Sheep, prime fat wethers £2 ss, fut ewes £1 10s 6d to £1 lls, shoep £1 16s, fat hoggets 4'l 6d, store hoggets 18s 7d. MATAMATA. At the N.Z. Loan and Mercantile Agenoy Coy’s sale on Wednesday, prices were: Store cows, poor, £3 15s to £5, yearling heifers £3, calves, mixed sexes, poor, £llßs to £2 4s, backward cows £9 to £lO 15s, good woolly hoggets £1 2s to £1 3b 4d, others 17s 9d to 18e 6d. Empty ewes 20s.
