CLEARING SALES.

Dalgety and Co., Ltd., conducted a clearing sale for Mr W. H. Grenville, at Okauia on Thursday, when previous records were again beaten. The high average of £2l 6s 4d was attained for the herd of 41 cows. Heifer calves brought to £9 7s fid. MR G. H. SEED'S HERD. A clearing sale of Mr G. H. Seed's herd was held at Hinuora on Monday by the Farmers' Coop. Co., Ltd, The herd of 43 cows in calf averaged just about £lB. The prices ran high for some time, as much as £32 being paid for a grade Jersey hv Mr J. W. Finnortv. Others £27 (Mr Cave), £23 (Mr Finnerty), £22 (Mr Gorman), £2l (Mr Cave). Other buyors were Messrs G. Condor, P. Quinlan, and Litchfield. Cows in milk brought from £5 10s to £23 (Mr Clark). Pedigree Jersey bulls 9 to 10i guineas. Implements and furniture sold well.
