PEDIGREE STOCK SALES.
Friesian Cattle. . MR E. C. BANKS' SALE. An important sale of Friesian cattle was held at Matamata on Thursday by the Farmers' Auctioneering Co., on behalf of Mr E. C. Banks. The attendance was large but bidding was confined to a few. The cattle were not in sale condition and did not look their proper value. The largest buyer was Mr George Walker, of Tauranga. Grade Friesians brought an average of about 14 gns, reaching as high as 24H K"S. There was no demand for pedigree draught horses, only two being sold at something in the vicinity of 30 gns.
Ayrshire Cattle. LATE P. LITCHFIELD'S STOCK. A clearing sale of the pedigree Ayrshire stock, owned by the late Mr P. Litchfield, of Tirau, was held by the Farmers' Auctioneering Coy., Ltd., on Friday* Although there was not a very large attendance the right men were present and prices were very good for the female stock.
