MATAMATA Tho Fnnnora’ Auctioneering Coy. held its monthly sale at Matamata on Wednesday, The yarding or attendance was not as large as usual, consequent probably on a number of fannors being at tho Winter show. lAbout IGO springing heifers were on offer but only a few sold at £l3. A rise should be noted shortly. Calves were offered but none reached the reserve. Fat stock sold at market rates. Prices were Sheep, fat hoggets 22s (id, fat ewes 22s 3d; cattle, 15-month steers £3 8s to £3 12s, fat steers £l2 17s Gd to £ls 4s, fat cows £lO 15s to £l2 10s, store cows £4 to £5 17s Gd, springing heifers £l*2 10s to £l3, cows £9 15s to £l2 10s. MR 13. C. TAYLOR’S HERD. On Thursday last tho Fanners' Auctioneering Coy. held a clearing sale on behalf of Mr B. C. Taylor, who has sold his farm on Tower road. Tho bidding for tho cows was brisk and the average of £l4 15s was good for the time of the year. _____
