ORANGE BLOSSOMS.
Rintoul—Garpoll. The Roman Catholic church at Te Aroha presented a pretty and busy scene on Wednesday last, the occasion being the wedding of Miss Agnes May Carroll, daughter of Mrs and the late Mr Carroll, of Wardville and Mr Hugh Rintoul, son of Mr and Mrs James Rintoul, of Onohunga. The Rev. Father O’Connor was the officiating minister. Tho church was nearly full when the bride walked down tho aisle on the arm of Her brother Mr John Carroll. The bride was beautifully attired in a dress of cream glace silk, beautifully embroidered, and wore a lovely voil, with orange blossoms. She carried a pretty bouquet of white cosmos and asparagus fern. Tho bridesmaids were the Misses Aldyth arid Gertie McQuiro. The former was attired in a dress of white crepe-de-chine, embroidered, with a white and pink crepo-do-chine hat. Miss G. McQuire wore a white silk costume with a white and pink hat. The bride was given away by her brother. Mr E. Carroll acted as best man.
After the ceremony the pretty wedding party, and about forty guests sat down to a sumptuous wedding to past in tho Palace Hotel, where tho usual toats were honored. Tho wedding presents on view at tho brides parents’ residence at Wardville. wore especially numerous, coming, as they did from friends throughout the whole of the Thames Valley district. Tho bridegroom’s present to tho bride was a handsome travelling companion, and to the bridesmaids gold brooches. Tho young couple left by the express for Thames, tho bride travelling in a cream gabardine costume, with white fur and cream hat to match.
