KIWITAHI.

A meeting of settlers was(Jield here recently to discuss gestion to build a cheese factory near the station. Messrs Darkness and W. H. Milliken addressed tho meeting which was attened by about thirty suppliers. It was ascertained that those in favor of the scheme were, or would, milk sufficient cows to keep a factory employed and it was decided to proceed with the formation of a co-operative company. Provisional directors'were elected as follows: —Messrs W. H. Milliken, W. Rout, Dunwoodie, Wells, Scherer, McQueen and Basley. Three acres of land , for a site has been purchased, it boing part of that recently owned by Mr E. Hally, adjoining the creek.
