Accompanying the Hon. W. H. Hemes to the Matamata show was Mr Leod Johnson, who has resumed his duties as one of the Minister's secretaries after an absence of about two years on active service. Mr Johnson is as genial as ever, and was welcomed by a whole host of Matamata and district friends.
An excellent opportunity of listening to one of the best and most conversant orators on the prohibition movement will be afforded Matamata residents in the Public hall, on Monday next, when Mr W. J). Bayley, 8.A., of Canada, will deliver an address entitled " Hawk-talk," Questions will be welcomed by the speakers.
