METEOROLOGICAL
The rainfall as recorded by Mr W. Kirkness, at Greenmeadows, Turanga-o-moana, for the month of January was 2.41 inches, which fell on 12 days, Tho heaviest fall was .67 inches on January 28th. The fall for the month atTirau, writes Mr F. Shannon, was 2.90, rain falling on eleven days. The maximum fall was .88 on January 4th. For the corresponding month of the previous year 3.53 inches was recorded.
