THE shadow of war has hung over the past four Xmases. Hardly a family that, has. . not mourned the loss of a member, a relative or some dear friend, and there remained the suspense’ of what the future might have in store. It could not be expected that Xmas could be accompanied with the same festive as it was honoredinpre-warldays. This year we are as yet too near -to the horrors of the past four years to rejoice as we. used to.. Jlut the light is shining through the dark clouds. We are looking forward to the return of our dear ones, to the gathering at the festive board next year. ' Peace has come, and, with it rejoicing and hope. To our readers we extend the wish of a Merry Xmas and a Happy New Year.
