Brief Mention of all Minor Happenings in Matamata and Vicinity.
- Newspaper men are not immune from the epidemic. Some weeks ago the editor of the Record, Mr A. G Yardley. had a slight attack of "flu." When the appeal for helpers was made Mr Yardley entered into the fight /with whole hearted vigdr and enthusiasm., .On Tuesday he was again- attacked and had to take to his bed; Under these conditions and the terrible scarcity of " news " caused by the cessation of all local body or other meetings considerable difficulty has been experienced in the production of this issire. - We hope that our readers will be kind to its short comings. Buggy mare lost. W. Gale has removed to new premises in Tower road. Matamata Private hospital closed down on account of epidemic and will re-open shortly.
