STOCK SALES.

MATAMATA. Dalgefcyand Co. held their monthly stock sale at Matamata on Monday, instead of Wednesday (Waikuto Show day). The yarding of grown stock was not as large as ordinarily, about 560 being on hand. Two extra choice yearling Jersey heifers sold on behalf of Mr G. W. Boss, of Walton, brought eight guineas each. Prices were: Fat cows J6lO 10s to £l2 10s; fresh conditioned cows £8 5s to £lO 2s 6d; store cows from £6 5s to £7 15s; 2-year steers up to £9 ss; 2-year heifers £6 9s to £8 5s ; yearling steers to £5 os ; good yearling heifers £4 10s to £4 17s 6d; fresh dropped calves from Is 6d to 10s 6d. Dairy stock,—Springing heifers £lO to £ls 5s ; cows in milk £lO 10s to £l2 ss; 3-year Shorthorn bulls £l2 12s; good 2-year Shorthorns £9 9s to £ll lis ; yearlings, grade Shorthorn £8 8s to £9 9s. MOREINSVILLE i There was not a very large attendance at the Farmers' Auctioneering Co's. sale on Friday. There was not a keen demand for fat or store stock, the price for the latter being easy. Good cows and dairy heifers sold up to recent rates. Prices: Pigs, weaner- 15s to 225, Blips 32s to 42s 6d, small porkers 595. Sheep, fat wethers 33s 6d to 44s 3d for an .entry from Mr E. C. Pilkihgton, fat shorn ewes 22s 6d, shorn hoggets 18s 6d, store wethers 30s 6d, ewes and lambs 295. Cattle, fat steers £l3 to £l6 10s, fat cows £9 13s to £l2, cows with calves £lO ss, 3yr store bullocks £ll 10s to £l2 15s, 18 months to 2 year steers £5 12s fid to £7 10s, 18 months to 2 year heifers £5 15s to £B, for a line of Jersey yearling heifers entered by Mr H. Manuel 7 sold at 12 and 8 at 14 gns, yearling steers £5 12s 6d to £6 6s, calves £2 15s to £3 2s, smaller sorts £1 to £2 10s, newly dropped calves 5s to 9s ; dairy cattle Mr G. Baker's herd of 17 cows made from £8 to £l7 15s, the average beinw£ll4a, cows made from £lO 15s to £l7, springers £9 15s to £l4 10s, bulls from 5| to 16 gns.
