Mr A. C. Thynne has been appointed secretary of the Sunny Park Dairy company. A letter received by a Morrinsville resident from England says: "No cheese for months, and hardly any jam. No fruit to speak of, and not allowed to be sold. I have tasted strawberries twice and gooseberries once this year." At the Westfield sale on Wednesday, the prices for cattle and sheep showed a slight decrease, but calves and pigs remained firm. Eight steers from Mr W. C. Ring, Hinuera, averaged £l7 16s 3d, and nine from Mr Gardner, Walton, £l6 8s 7d.
