OKAUIA.
The Basket social on Wednesday of last week was very successful, although several families were not represented. However, those who were present dipped deeply into their pockets, and at the conclusion of a very pleasant evening the takings totalled £SO 3s 6d. Of this sum £3l 3s 6d was for supper baskets and £ll 0s 6d for lollie baskets, the remainder being door money and donations. On Monday of this week a bread and butter social at Mrs Sutherland's resulted in £llss 6d being added to the funds, which now total to date £63 0s 3d. ;
