NOTICE is hereby given that it is the intention of the Matamata County Council at its next meeting to be held in the Council Chambers at Tirau on Friday, the 12th day of July, 1918, to make and levy under Section 117 and 118 of “The Counties’ Act, 1908,” and in accordance with the provisions of “The Rating Act, 1908,” and amendments thereof a General Rate of one penny one farthing in the £ on the Capital value of all Rateable property in the Patetere, Putaruru and Taotaoroa ridings, and of one penny in the £ on the capital value of all Rateable property in the Matamata andMaungatautari Ridings, AND the following Special Rates will also be made and levied : —3-16ths of Id in the £ over the Matamata Riding; 3-16th of a Id in the £ over the Whangarau Special Rating Area'; 3d and l-16th of a penny in the £ on A. 2d and 13 _ 16ths of a Id in the £ on B, and 2d and 5-16ths of a penny in the £ on C. classed lands, in the Waharoa Special Drainage Area, 7-16thsof ldinthe £ over the Buckland road Special area, l-50th of Id in the £ over the Patetere riding; 5-37ths of Id in the £ over the OmahineTe Poi Special Area ; l-6th of Id in the £ over the HorahoraMaungatautari Road Special Area ; 15-32nd of Id in the £ over the Horahora Road and Bridge Special Area ; l-24th of Id in the £ over the Crow’s Nest Road Special Area; and 3-16ths of a penny in the £ over the Luck at Last Road Special Area. All such Rates shall be for the year commencing the first day of April, 1918, and ending on the thirty-first day of March, 1919, and payable in every case in one sum on the first day of August, 1918, to the undersigned at the County Office, Cambridge, where the Valuation Rolls are open for inspection during office hours.
