The Matamata "Glaxo" factory was expected to close for the season on Saturday of this week, but it has now been decided to continue running until the following Saturday. At a meeting of the Morrinsville suppliers of the N.Z.D.A. it was announced that the association had purchased 10 aojres adjoining the Morrinsville railway station. Word has been received by his parents from Sergt. Fred. Carolan, stating that he has been recommended for a commission, and expected to shortly be sent from France to England to enter the officers' training camp. A Rod Cross shop will bo opened in the shop lately occupied by Mr H. Buckley, on Wednesday next, June sth (saleday). Contributions of produce, stock, etc- will be gladly received at Mrs Darby's (confectioner) shop. The many friends of Private H. Avard will be pleased to learn that he has arrived back in New Zealand, but is being detained in the Auckland Hospital for further treatment. He hopes soon to be back in Matamata. A McCormick drill for sale. Tenders invited for additions to the Matamata school. The return of an overcoat,taken by mistake, is asked for. A shed of from 60 to 100 cows wanted on shares by adult family. Wonderful improvements in the Treloar milking machine may be seen at the Winter show_ An attractive proposition is made by Messrs Hill and Dillicar, estate agents, of Hamilton. House and Daking, the wellknown drapers of Hamilton invite, readers to visit their premises. The Ford x>ne-ton motor truck will be on exhibition by James Tombs and Co. at the Winter show. T. Mandeno Jackson's Hamilton branch want farm properties for sale. They claim to have the buyers. The Railway Department advertises special train arrangeiments for the Waikato Winter show.
