CHEESE FACTORY RETURNS.

The cheese factory returns for the district show the effect of the cold snap last month. It is a rather curious point that in very many cases the return of milk from many suppliers for the third period of the month considerably exceeded that of the second period. For the corresponding month of last year the figures were: Milk 346,7041b5, butterfat 14,464 lbs, payments £1024 at Is sd, average test 4.17. NORFOLK. The milk received was 231,109 lbs giving 9,387 lbs butterfat. The cheques totalled £704 at Is 6d per lb and the average test was 4. The figures for the corresponding month of last year were: Milk 254,819 lbs, butterfat 9,813 lbs, payments £572 at Is 2d per lb, average test 3.8. SUNNY PARK. The milk received was 183,790 lbs giving 7909 lbs butterfat. The cheques totalled £593 at Is 6d per lb and the average test was 4.2. For the corresponding month of last year the figures were : Milk 135,873 lbs, butterfat 5792 lbs, payments £446 at Is 6Hd per lb, average test 4.26.
