WAIHOU. At the Farmers’ Auctioneering Coy.’s sale on Friday beef was firm. Calves showed an improvement, but there was a poor demand for stores. Prices were : Weaner pigs 8s to 13s, slips 28s, porkers 35s to £2, prime fat wethers 85s sd, prime lat maiden ewes 33s 6d, fat ewes 28s to 31s, fat shorn lambs 28s 4d, fat steers, light, £l4 to £l4 7s 6d, prime heavy cows, £l2 10s to £l4 12s 3d, medium quality £lolos to £ll os, forward cows £9 15s, vealers £4 10s, heavy bulls llgus to 13]gns, good 20-month steers £9, best steer calves £4 Pis to £4 18s, good calves, mixed sexes, £3 17s to £4 Gs, inferior sorts £‘2 12s to £2 15s, cull calves 20s to 255, good store woolly lambs 15s sd.
