MATAMATA COUNTY COUNCIL
Special Order Authorising a Special Loan of £IOOO for construction of Drainage Works within the Waharoa Special Rating Area. \ PUBLIC Notice is hereby, given that the Matamata County Council, at a Special Meeting held on the 12th day of April, 1918, passed a resolution to the following intent and effect, and such resolution will be submitted for confirmation at a meeting of the Council to be held on FRIDAY, the 10th day of May, 1918, at the hour of 10.30 a.m. RESOLUTION. In pursuant and in exercise of the powers and authorities vested in it in that behalf-by Section 16 of the Local Bodies Loans Act, 1913, the Counties Act, 1908, and Amendments thereof, and of all other Acts, empowers it in that behalf enabling, and with the written consent of the ratepayers in the Waharoa Special Rating Area of the Matamata County Council herein described, testified by a petition signed by'not less than three-fourths of the ratepayers in the aforesaid Waharoa Special Rating Area. The capital value of whose properties as appearing on the Valuation Roll of the district is collectively greater than the capital value of the properties of those ratepayers wjjo did not so consent io the raising of the Loan. •The. Matamata County Council resolves by way of Special Order as follows: For the purpose of constructing Drainage Works within the Waharoa Special Rating Area of the Matamata County Council, the Matamata County Council hereby authorises the raising of a Loan of £IOOO from the Superintendent' of the State Advances Department, bearing interest at the rate of iVi per centum.per annum for a period of 36H years and declares that the cost of raising the Loan and the first year’s interest on the Loan shall be payable from out of the monies so raised. BOUNDARIES OF THE SPECIAL RATING AREA. All that area of land in the Matamata County Council bounded by a line commencing at a point on the right bank of the Waitoa River at the intersection of Section 26 at its North-east corner, and following the river in a Southerly direction to the North-west corner of Section 14, Matamata. South, thence along the Northern Boundary of that section to the railway line, thence along in a Southerly direction to the South-east corner of Section 7, Block ' 11., Tapapa, thence along the South-eastern boundary of that section to the Waitoa river on its left bank, thence following the left bank of the river to the South-east corner of Section 57, Block XIII., Tapapa, thence along the Southern boundary of that section to the road, thence along in a Northerly direction to the South-west corner of Section 26, Richmond Estate Sub-division, and along the North-western boundary of that section to the Waitoa River on its right bank to the point of commencement.
