STOCK SALES.

WAIHOU. The Farmers Auctioneering Co. hail a large yarding of stock at their Waihou stock sale on Friday. The attendance of the farmers was not as large as usual, but export buyers were present, and bought freely from the fat cattle pens. We quote : —Weaner pigs to 17s, smaller sorts 8s 6d to 12s, one pen of well-grown weaners made 21s, porkers 40s to 54s 3d, smaller sorts 28s to 325, sow with litter £4 7s (Jd. A larger yarding of sheep was made than at recent sales, but the demand was not keen, and several pens were passed. Fat wethers made to 345, fat ewes to 25s 3d for aged, large-framed forward ewes made 29s 3d, fat lambs 21s 3d. Fat cows made from £l2 5s to £l4 7s 6d for prime lines, £lO 10s to £l2 for ordinary lines, and from £7 12s 6d for small sorts, fat bullocks £l3 18s to £l4 10s, dairy cows £8 Bs, forward 3 yr. bullocks to £l2, good weaner steers to £4, mixed weaners to £2 18s, weaner beifers to £3 2s 6d, Shorthorn bulls to 134 gns., Holstein bulls to 14 gns, There was little demand for young cattle, and several lines were passed. MORRINSVILLE. At the Farmers’ Auctioneering Coy.’s sale on Tuesday there was a small yarding. The market was dull. There were no fat steers entered, and young cattle were not in any great demand. For a few very large fat wethers brought in by Mr F. H. Whyte, of Tahuna, the big price of 45s was paid. Prices were : Fat cows £ll to £l2 17s, fresh-con-ditioned cows £9 7s 3d to £lO 15s, store cows £5 10s to £7 15s, 18 mos. to 2-year steers £7 15s to £9 17s 3d, 18 mos. to 2-year heifers in calf £6 12s 3d to £6 17s 6d, 2-year empty heifers £7, steer calves £3 to £4 2s 3d, calves (mixed sexes) £2 to £3, bulls 7A to 12} gns, dairy cattle 10] to 12 gns, fat wethers 29s to 455, fat ewes 23s to 30s, store ewes 12s 3d to 17s 3d, good woolly lambs lbs to 20s, smaller sorts 9s 2d to 12s 6d, Romney rams 14 to 2 gns, light porkers £1 17s 3d to £2 17s 3d.
