MATAMATA show day has for the past eight years been recognised as the one big holiday of the district, but unfortunately, owing generally, to the proximity of Easter, the date is not a fixture. This year it falls on a Thursday, which is the publishing day of the Matamata Record. Consequently the' paper if published that day contain a show report, which would there* fore have to be held over until the following week. To get over the difficulty we have decided that next week’s issue will be published on Saturday, instead of Thursday. We would ask subscribers, agents and advertisers to kindly note the alteration. In connection with last year’s show issue we would point out that there were many regular subscribers who were disappointed when it came to obtaining extra copies, because the demand was greater than expected. This year the paper shortage is being even more acutely felt than last, and it is our intention to print only the regular number of papers, plus ordered copies. Orders for extra papers will be required to be lodged at the Rrcord office (’phone 82) by mid-day on Friday, March 22nd.
