HUNGAHUNGA DRAINAGE BOARD.

Special Meeting. A special meeting of the Hungahunga Drainage Board was held on Saturday, the chairman (Mr J. Clothier) and Messrs J. Pohlen, F. E. Hughes, W. Crawshaw, and J. Orr being present. MATAMATA LOAN. It was decided to apply to the State Advances office for £450, 10 per cent, additional loan, for work in the Matamata special area. TENDERS. Tenders for various cleaning works were accepted : Piranui, Waitoa river to Chudleigh's : A. Maras 3s 8d per chain. Crawshaw's drain : Mikkelsen and Haig 2s 9d per chain. McLaren's drain: Hirst and Gray 6s 6d per chain. Other works were left to Messrs Hughes and Crawshaw to arrange for. No tenders were received for the Waipuna drain through Laird's. A DONATION. It was decided to write thanking Mr Laird for a donation of £5 towards the cost of the Waipuna drain work.
