Youth of Fiji
by
John Antonio
The Youth of Fiji which was written by Meli Waqa is very informative and comprehensive. There is a great value in the source reference material it contains. He covers every aspect of youth education, organisations and activities in Fiji. However, I feel it is rather brief and would have benefitted by the expression of more of the author’s own ideas and working experience in community services. I also feel that a book concerning the youth of Fiji should have had photographs of at least some of the races to represent its multi-racial community. The book is well compiled and easy to read. In all, a good book for students of community studies and those who are interested in community, social and youth and recreational work. It deserves a wider readership than it will probably get.
