Six hundred workers were made redundant at Fisher and Paykel Ltd, and that 550 were Maori or Polynesian. * * * Schools are refusing to enrol children saying their rolls are full. Coincidently most of these pupils are Maori and Polynesian. * * * Leading up to the major point in the Bastion Point land struggle will be a series of activities beginning on Friday March 3, with a march down Queen Street and speaking forums. Saturday March 4, there will be an open forum at Takaparawha. On the Sunday there will be a major public meeting. Monday March 6, the court case begins at 10 a.m. at the Supreme.
