Student Scholarships

Higher education scholarship have been awarded to 15 Maori and other Polynesian High School students this year. Dunedin; Shane Geoffrey Jones of St Stephen's School, South Auckland; Hoturoa Turanga Barclay-Kerr, Onehunga High School, Auckfand; Wharewaina Anne O'Brien, Edgecumbe College and the Lester B Pearson College of the Pacific of. Canada; Tamarangi Carlo Rogers. Kawerau College; To’aiga Jupita Su’a, Wanganui High School; Peter Boris Tashkoff, Kamo High

School, Whangarei; Joanne Lynne Whiley, Freyberg High School and Epsom Girls Grammar School, Auckland; Eric Stanley Williams, Kelston Boys High School, Auckland; Hemi Mahanga Williams, Papak-

ura High School, Auckland. The scholarships are awarded annually by the Education Department and entitle the students to special allowances while attending university or a technical institute.
