Niue Produce
Niue has been working hard to get markets for its produce. Schweppes Ltd guaranteed to take three years supply of Niue’s limes after a recent visit by a Niuean trade representative to Auckland.
The company is looking forward to a further expansion of lime production in the following three years. Prices will be based on the World Market levels so Niuean growers may expect a bigger return for their limes in the near future.
Price increases for passionfruit and pawpaws were also discussed at the ‘Auck-
land meetings. The outcome of this is expected later am growers will be advised o any increases.
