He Kakano no Rangiatea
PETER SHARPLES has just completed his Ph. D. His thesis was a grammatical study of the Tokelaun language, completed under the auspices of the Anthropology Department, Auckland University. Peter is married to Aroha Paenga and they have three children. He is leader of Te Roopu Manutahi and is a key figure on the Polynesian Festival Committee. During working hours he can be found at the Race Relations Conciliators’ Office, where he is Executive Officer. His success is being celebrated at the John Waititi marae later this month. “MANA” joins all other Maoris in congratulating
